Majors : Back to Basics

I’d like to believe that for one to be genuinely good at something, one must study its craft first. With that belief, I patiently told myself that for me to reach my goals and expectations in photography, I must first go through its basics and hardships. It’s not a problem if you take things slowly for as long as you attain persistence and passion, everything will eventually fall into place.

So here’s what happened to my first hands on activity in my History of Photography majors..

How I wish I could steal this beautiful vintage view camera..

Meet my cool professor, Mr. Roderick Javier setting up his view camera! :-)

Last few adjustments.. (Whaddup iso: 6 HAHA)

and we’re ready to shoot!

Apollo Lara posing for his portrait..

My time to pose….

.

My upper-batch classmates trying to use the camera without professor’s supervision.

One of my faves! Joseph Monis posing for his portrait..

After taking the photographs, my classmate Valeria Sorrenti (the half sister of the famous fashion photographer, Mario Sorrenti!!) immediately developed the photos in our dark room and here are the results! (Not to mention how fascinating our dark room was when I found it.. It’s hidden.. like ala james bond feel with the secret revolving magic door effect.. HAHA Everyone should see it!!)

So.. that’s it! I’m done for today, can’t wait for moreeee!!!! :-)
